About
Offline Arcade started as a notebook full of game names that friends kept asking me about. People wanted something to play on long train rides where the signal drops for an hour, and most lists online were stuffed with titles that beg you to stay online. So we built a small site that only covers games you can finish, or at least enjoy, in full airplane mode.,The team is tiny. We buy or download the games ourselves, install them on a couple of mid-range Android phones and one older iPhone, and actually play them for a week or more before writing anything. No ghostwriting, no copy-pasted store descriptions.,We pick games across genres on purpose. A good offline library has a slow strategy game for the evening, a quick arcade run for the bus, and a long RPG for the weekend. We care about how a game feels in the hand, how fair it is with your time, and whether it respects the fact that you might never go online.,If a game turns out to be worse than it looked, we say so. That honesty is the whole point of running an independent site instead of chasing whatever the stores want to promote.
