Casinacho Games
Casinacho Games is one of those apps I expected to delete in a day and ended up keeping for weeks. It bundles a dozen small mini-games into one package, each with its own tiny rule set: match falling shapes, tap in rhythm, sort colored tiles before the timer runs out. You pick one from a grid on the home screen and jump straight in, no loading screens or sign-ups.
Controls are built entirely around taps and short swipes, so it works fine one-handed on the bus. The difficulty climbs gently inside each mini-game, and progress is saved locally, which means you can play the whole thing with mobile data off. I liked that the menu remembers which modes you touched last, so returning to a half-finished run takes two taps.
What won me over was the pacing. Each round is short enough to fit a two-minute wait, but the little score targets kept pulling me back. The art is clean and cheerful without being noisy, and nothing nags you to come back later. It's a simple app that does one thing well: hand you a quick, self-contained game whenever you have a spare minute.
What we liked
- Dozens of bite-sized modes in one offline app
- One-handed tap controls with no setup
- Progress saved locally, works fully in airplane mode
