Ironhold Tactics
Ironhold Tactics is a lean strategy game about holding a narrow pass against waves of raiders. You place units on a hex grid, manage line of sight, and decide when to fall back. Each map is a puzzle with multiple right answers, and losing usually means you misread the terrain rather than got cheated.
There's no energy meter and no timers pushing you to wait. You plan a turn, commit, and watch it play out. I spent several evenings replaying one chokepoint map just to find a cleaner solution, and the game let me do that as often as I wanted, all offline.
The interface is a bit dense at first, with tooltips hiding behind long taps. Once it clicks, though, it becomes a satisfying little war planner that fits in your pocket. Great for people who like thinking more than reacting.
