Lantern Hollow
Lantern Hollow is a quiet adventure game where you guide a lantern-bearer through a forest full of small mysteries. You tap to move, examine objects, and solve gentle environmental puzzles that open new paths. There's no combat and no failure state, just exploration and a slowly unfolding story told mostly through notes and sounds.
The atmosphere does the heavy lifting. Rain taps on leaves, distant bells ring, and the hand-painted scenes change as you light more of the world. I played most of it in one long sitting with headphones on, offline, and it felt like a short interactive novel.
Some puzzles lean on noticing tiny details, which can stall you for a bit. A hint system quietly nudges you after a while, though, so you never get fully stuck. It's short, maybe four hours, but it stuck with me.
